Rural Housing: A New Interpretation of Rural Density
Residential project
The Terraced Garden Home: Private Living, Shared Landscape

The Challenge: Creating a high-quality residential space through row housing (terraced housing) that allows for relatively high density without compromising the private, ground-attached feel of a traditional home.
The Architectural Solution:
This project presents a unique residential model of 4 housing units on a single dunam (1,000 sqm) plot. To maximize privacy and the sense of space for every family, each unit was designed across two floors. This approach minimizes the building's footprint on the land, allowing each home to enjoy its own significant private garden.
Key Design Features:
The "Single-Family Home" Feel: Despite the shared structure, the architectural design emphasizes visual and functional separation, ensuring each resident enjoys a private entrance and a personal garden.
Balancing Privacy and Community: The row-house configuration creates a harmonious architectural flow that blends into the Kibbutz landscape, while maintaining strict attention to air directions and acoustic privacy between neighbors.
Smart Land Utilization: This model demonstrates how to achieve high residential density (4 units per dunam) while preserving the "Rural DNA" and the deep connection between indoor and outdoor living.
