A 20-Year Vision for a Seaside Community

The Challenge: Developing a comprehensive master plan that regulates land use while balancing rapid demographic growth with the preservation of the unique identity of a seaside Kibbutz.

The Architectural Vision:
The plan charts the community’s communal, economic, and leisure needs for the next 20 years. At its core is the uninterrupted connection to the sea—orienting the entire layout, public spaces, and residential areas toward the shoreline to embrace its coastal character.

Project Highlights:

Growth & Continuity: Adding over 200 new housing units through a combination of internal densification and a brand-new neighborhood. This expansion is designed to bring the next generation back home, fostering a vibrant, multi-generational community.

Water-Centric Design: A defining feature of the plan is the integration of the iconic fish ponds. Instead of viewing them as purely functional, the new neighborhood is built around them, utilizing the ponds as a central landscape element that defines the area's aesthetic and atmosphere.

Holistic Planning: Regulating land for employment, recreation, and public services to ensure a sustainable economic future for the Kibbutz while enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
